Indications

Medigel is a food supplement to increase the viscosity of liquid and semi-liquid foods, such as in dysphagia or regurgitation in newborns.

Directions for use and dosage

As an anti-regurgitation:

• Pour 3 g (1 measuring spoon) of product into water (100 ml) and heat over low heat until a gel is obtained, which can be stored in the refrigerator for 24 hours; in case of breastfeeding, the gel should be administered to the infant before feeding (1-2 teaspoons as needed); If you are not breastfeeding, take the required amount and dissolve it in the formula, shaking the bottle.

As a thickener:

• Use the 3 g measuring cup included in the package to take the amount suggested in the table (page 133);
• Add slowly to hot or cold liquid or semi-liquid foods;
• Mix with a fork or whisk until completely dissolved, or shake in a closed container (such as a shaker). Alternatively, use an electric mixer at low speed for 5-10 seconds.
