Vitamin K1 and vitamin D3 dietary supplement in MCT (medium-chain triglyceride) oil, for the prevention of late-onset vitamin K deficiency bleeding disorder (VKDB) and rickets. Late-onset vitamin K deficiency bleeding disorder (VKDB) primarily occurs in breastfed infants who are not adequately prophylactically treated. Breastfed infants are particularly at risk because human milk contains low concentrations of vitamin K, and the intestinal flora of breastfed infants lacks the microorganisms that synthesize vitamin K. Vitamin D helps maintain adequate calcium levels. According to recent AAP (American Academy of Pediatrics) guidelines, supplementation with 400 IU of vitamin D should begin in infancy and continue throughout growth and adolescence. Daily administration of one Dicovit DK pearl, starting in the first month of life, ensures infants receive the correct intake of vitamin K and vitamin D.

Directions for Use
