Indications
Gestday is a multimineral and multivitamin dietary supplement with 100% plant-based DHA, specifically for women during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Maternal intake of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) contributes to normal brain and eye development in the fetus and breastfed infants. It contains Quatrefolic, a biologically active form of folic acid (methylfolate). Folate contributes to maternal tissue growth during pregnancy. Folic acid supplementation increases maternal folate status. Low maternal folate status is a risk factor for the development of neural tube defects in the fetus. Iodine contributes to normal cognitive function and the normal production of thyroid hormones and normal thyroid function.
It can also be taken in the period before conception.
The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 200 mg of DHA in addition to the recommended daily intake of omega-3 fatty acids for adults, which is equal to: 250 mg of DHA and EPA.
The target population is women of childbearing age, and the beneficial effect is obtained with a daily supplemental intake of 400 mcg of folic acid for at least one month before and up to three months after conception.
