Food supplement based on natural substances (the capsules are also vegetal) that provides an appropriate response to counteract symptoms in various specialist disciplines.
Floxiven Plus is used in:
Rutin or rutoside is a natural substance, a flavonoid glycoside found in plants belonging to various families, especially the Rutaceae (not surprisingly, it takes its name from Rue - Ruta graveolens). The most exploited sources for their rutin content are the shoots of Sophora japonica (15-20%), the leaves of Eucalyptus macrorhyncha (about 10%), and those of Fagopyrum esculentum (buckwheat, 5-8%). Ruscus aculeatus is also particularly rich in rutin.
Rutin and rutoside are sometimes incorrectly called vitamin P, to underline their great effectiveness in regulating the permeability of blood capillaries. The main indications are for the treatment of rectal conditions, such as anal fissures, internal and external hemorrhoids, and proctitis. Their vasoprotective, anti-inflammatory, and anti-edema effects are well known, inducing venular constriction without appreciably affecting arterioles. This effect is thought to be mediated, at least in part, by ruscogenins' ability to activate alpha-adrenergic receptors, which results in vasoconstrictive action, resulting in increased venous and lymphatic return. They inhibit venous bed permeability following local inflammation. They possess anti-elastase activity (enzymes that attack the vascular endothelium and the extracellular matrix, weakening their structure). In addition to the treatment of the rectal diseases already listed, ruscogenins are also used in the presence of venous insufficiency and related symptoms (pain, heaviness, swelling, itching, and tiredness in the lower limbs).
Polygonum cuspidatum is a plant that produces resveratrol, a natural substance (non-flavonoid phenol) also present in other plant species. Thanks to its strong antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and blood-thinning properties, it helps protect our body from cardiovascular diseases and tumors. It also has vaso/endothelial protective and sirtuin-stimulating properties, that is, it stimulates a category of proteins (sirtuins) that act as repairers in the event of DNA damage, when, due to aging, the damage accumulates. Sirtuins are busy repairing it and with aging they are unable to maintain constant control over certain genes, which, instead of being silenced, can become activated. Resveratrol is also useful for the body's cleansing functions, for physical and mental fatigue, and for the regularity of the menstrual cycle.
In the plant kingdom, resveratrol is also found in grape skins and in wine, especially red wine. The cardioprotective effects of this beverage, typical of the Mediterranean diet, are largely linked to its resveratrol content.
Resveratrol as an anti-aging agent - Resveratrol is attributed with powerful anti-aging properties that allow it to delay aging. This biological activity could be attributed to various biological mechanisms specific to resveratrol. Resveratrol is particularly studied for its antiaging effect on skin tissue, as it represents the first visible manifestation of the body's aging process.
Resveratrol is effective in skin diseases with multifactorial etiologies, especially those with an inflammatory component, due to its ability to inhibit lipid peroxidation, chelate metal ions, and act as a radical scavenger. Furthermore, resveratrol is known to be involved in cellular metabolic events such as eicosanoid synthesis and lipid metabolism.
Coumarin, a substance extracted from sweet clover, has anti-inflammatory, anti-edema, diuretic, and phlebotonic effects. It activates the synthesis of proteolytic enzymes in macrophages 1 and 2, which break down interstitial proteins produced by inflammation into small, easily degradable molecules. It also has prolymphokinetic activity, acting on the smooth muscles of the lymphatic collectors. It is recommended for cases of venous and lymphatic insufficiency, post-phlebitic disorders, and water retention. It is an adjuvant in venous and lymphatic insufficiency and in the treatment of hemorrhoids, varicose veins, lymphatic stasis, ulcers of the lower limbs, and in the treatment of capillary fragility. It promotes wound healing.
Vitamin C is essential for the proper functioning of the immune system and the synthesis of collagen in the body. Collagen strengthens blood vessels, skin, muscles, and bones. Humans cannot create collagen without vitamin C. This vitamin plays an important role, especially in oxidation-reduction reactions catalyzed by oxygenase, and has an antihistaminic action.
