Indications

Ferrodyn is a highly bioavailable bivalent iron supplement. Iron, in its reduced form, is conjugated with two molecules of the amino acid glycine to form iron bisglycinate. The neutral electrical polarity of the molecule makes it particularly well tolerated at the gastrointestinal level. The bisglycinate form of iron is absorbed through a different transport mechanism than minerals and over a very long period of the jejunum, so absorption of the Ferrodyn supplement is complete and independent of stomach pH. The supplement can also be taken simultaneously with sources of calcium and other bivalent minerals without interfering with absorption.
The addition of Vitamin B9 allows for a synergistic action on energy metabolism, the production of red blood cells, and the fight against tiredness and fatigue. Folate is provided in a patented chemical form (Metafolin) that is immediately bioavailable and able to cross the blood-brain and placental barriers. The addition of Vitamin B6 promotes the production of red blood cells. Vitamin B6 is also in its active form, pyridoxal-5-phosphate, which is immediately available without the need for transformation.
