Indications

Ferbox is made in capsules with Actibox timed-release technology, which allows for gradual and diversified absorption; the release of the active ingredients occurs only at the absorption sites, increasing their efficiency.
The iron contained in Actibox is rapidly absorbed by the enterocytes in the jejunum and, through transcytosis, immediately released into the bloodstream where it is carried by transferrin and transported to the storage organs and the bone marrow. Thanks to this targeted mechanism, the amount of free iron, which causes the major contraindications and side effects such as diarrhea, constipation, and nausea, is greatly reduced.
Ferbox is indicated in cases of: anemia; fatigue; reduced concentration; headache and insomnia; muscle disorders; brittle nails and hair; iron deficiency during pregnancy; dietary deficiencies and intestinal diseases (e.g., heliac disease); Vegetarian and vegan diet; increased blood loss; gastrointestinal disorders.

Directions for use and Dosage

It is recommended to take 1 capsule in the morning on an empty stomach for 16 days.

Warnings

Tea and coffee reduce iron absorption, due to the high tannin content in these beverages; it is therefore advisable to eliminate or limit them in cases of anemia.
Iron can reduce the absorption of quinolones, thyroxine, and levodopa; antacids (magnesium or aluminum salts) reduce iron absorption, as do calcium and magnesium supplements. It is advisable to leave 2-3 hours between taking Ferbox and these preparations.
