Within the Echinacea genus there are several species (at least nine) of perennial herbaceous plants belonging to the Asteraceae family, native to North America; with its purple corolla, the most used is Echinacea purpurea. In fact, it is indicated for the normal functioning of the upper respiratory tract and to support the body during seasonal ailments.
The Echinacea purpurea Jamieson extract derives from the root of plants that are at least 3 years old, which have synthesized a higher concentration of active ingredients; therefore the synergistic properties of the mature plant are exploited to the fullest.
The Echinacea used by Jamieson comes from an award-winning botanical variety, is grown according to a particular European process and is subjected to a specialized technique for extracting the active ingredients. This process guarantees the presence, in the plant extract, of a broad spectrum of components whose biochemical activity has been scientifically tested and whose pharmacological effects are clinically validated.
