Indications
Eberlife Mamma is a supplement containing OMEGA 3 (DHA), folic acid, vitamins, and minerals. Folic acid contributes to maternal tissue growth during pregnancy and supports normal hematopoiesis. Iron promotes the normal formation of red blood cells and hemoglobin. Vitamin B1 contributes to normal energy metabolism, while Vitamins B2, B6, and B12 contribute to normal red blood cell formation.
Folic acid supplementation increases maternal folate status. Low maternal folate status is a risk factor for the development of neural tube defects in the fetus. The target population is women of childbearing age, and the beneficial effect is obtained with a daily supplemental intake of 400 µg of folic acid for at least one month before and up to three months after conception. Maternal DHA intake contributes to the normal brain and vision development of the fetus and breastfed infants.
