The recommended dose of Diagran Minerale Neo is 1 or more tablets per day, or as prescribed by your doctor.
In severe cases of vitamin deficiency, the dosage is 2 tablets per day during the initial period of intensive treatment, which may last several weeks, until the most obvious signs of hypovitaminosis disappear.
The use of specialties containing fat-soluble vitamins in high doses and/or for prolonged periods of time may give rise to signs of overdose. The use of oral contraceptives can cause an increase in plasma levels of Vitamin A. Very high doses of Vitamin A in animals are teratogenic and have been associated in isolated cases with malformations in humans. Treatment with vitamin D at high doses and for long periods of time requires monitoring of blood calcium levels to promptly detect signs of overdose.
Diagran Minerale Neo contains sucrose and is therefore not suitable for subjects with hereditary fructose intolerance, glucose/galactose malabsorption syndrome, or sucrase-isomaltase deficiency.
States of hypercalcemia.
Daily quantities of Vitamin A higher than 10,000 IU should be avoided during pregnancy (especially in the first months), and a doctor should be consulted for advice on the total amount of Vitamin A that can be obtained from different sources. The product, containing high doses of Vitamin A, should therefore not be used during pregnancy.
