Indications
Desmodium is a food supplement based on plant extracts. Desmodium is a plant of African origin (Desmodium Adscendens), which in traditional medicine, especially in the South Pacific islands such as Papua New Guinea, is used in the preventative treatment of asthma attacks and in the treatment of some liver diseases.
Actions: Desmodium contains groups of triterpene saponins, beta-phenylethylamines, alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, and sterol derivatives. The most biologically active ingredients are triterpene saccharides (soyasaponins I and III). Studies have shown that Desmodium helps regulate liver function, as well as that of the upper airways. Also useful for normal joint function.
Ingredients
Micronized desmodium powder (Desmodiumadscende(Sw.) D.C.) 98%, bulking agents: corn starch. Anti-caking agent: magnesium stearate. Capsule: food gelatin.
Nutritional Values
Maximum daily content of the characterizing ingredients per 1800 mg corresponding to 6 capsules: Desmodium powder (1710 mg).
Directions for use and Dosage
1-2 capsules 3 times a day.
Warnings
Although no toxic effects are observed at high doses, controlled and scrupulous use is recommended. Do not take in case of known hypersensitivity to one or more components. Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. Keep out of reach of children under 3 years of age. Do not exceed the maximum recommended daily dose. Dry extracts may contain traces of maltodextrins/gluten.
