Indications
L-Methionine is an amino acid defined as "essential" as the body is unable to synthesize it and must therefore be ingested through diet. Methionine is essential for the synthesis of S-adenosyl methionine (SAM), an enzyme that catalyzes various methylation reactions. Methylation reactions are essential for detoxifying metabolic waste products that can be dangerous to the body. In mammalian proteins, all amino acids are found in the levorotatory chemical form (L), which is why the L- form of this amino acid is preferred in quality food supplements. We recommend combining it with the product Alimento B, a food supplement based on B vitamins.
