Active ingredients
Omega-3 are natural substances widely distributed in nature, particularly in some fish, such as salmon. They are also defined as essential, as our body is unable to produce them and, therefore, must necessarily introduce them through diet or, when indicated, through nutraceuticals. Ingested omega-3s first bind to lipoproteins (which transport all fats in the blood) and then to cell membranes, ready to be released to perform their myriad functions (e.g., relieving inflammation, protecting the nervous system, supporting the cardiovascular system, etc.).
Astaxanthin belongs to the carotenoids, a large family of colored substances found in both plants and animals. It enters the food chain, and therefore salmon, from certain algae, such as Haematococcus pluvialis, which produce it to adapt to stressful conditions. In humans, astaxanthin complements and optimizes the biological effects of omega-3s through its antioxidant action and, above all, its gene control. In fact, evidence indicates that it is able to promote the expression of a gene (FOXO3), involved in the repair of DNA damage induced by UV rays and in promoting successful aging.

Directions for use and Dosage
Take 2 to 4 softgels daily, preferably with meals.
