Elysium Face Cream is an anti-aging remedy for very dry skin characterized by natural antioxidant and photoprotective properties due to the presence of mycosporin-like amino acids. The extract of the microalgae Alga nori (Porphyra umbilicalis) and Chlorella vulgaris, rich in amino acids, vitamins, and mineral salts, enrich the formulation with hydrating, regenerating, and restructuring properties that counteract photo- and chrono-aging, improving skin tone and elasticity by inhibiting the enzymes that degrade the extracellular matrix and stimulating dermal fibroblasts. Chlorella vulgaris counteracts the effects of urban pollution and protects against heavy metals.
The combination of Shea butter and cocoa seed butter (Theobroma cacao) provide soothing and restorative properties that help restore the barrier function. Theobroma cacao seeds contain polyphenols (flavan-3-ols, proanthocyanidins, anthocyanins) and methylxanthines (theobromine and caffene) with antioxidant, anti-inflammatory properties and the ability to regulate the synthesis of collagen I, III, and IV and glycosaminoglycan peptides.
