Specific® Fsw Struvite Dissolution is a temporary veterinary diet, meticulously formulated to support the dissolution of struvite uroliths in cats.

Its composition is designed to act on multiple urinary tracts. fronts:

• A carefully balanced content of magnesium and phosphorus, reduced to actively promote the dissolution of existing struvite stones and minimize the risk of recurrence.
• Maintaining an optimal urinary pH, between 6.0 and 6.3, crucial for dissolving struvite crystals and preventing the formation of new ones.
• The increased sodium content stimulates greater water consumption, helping to dilute urinary mineral concentrations and increase urinary frequency, key elements in managing urinary health.
• Enriched with Omega 3 fatty acids (EPA and DHA) derived from fish, known to support normal urinary motility. joint problems, especially in cats with a tendency to obesity, and to promote radiant skin and coat health.

Contraindications:

This food is not suitable for cats with a tendency to obesity. Recommended in cases of:

• Urolithiasis caused by calcium oxalate, ammonium urate, or cystine.
• Concomitant administration of urinary acidifiers.
• Metabolic or renal acidosis.
• Heart failure, hypertension, and edema.
• Kittens and pregnant or lactating cats.

Directions for use

For optimal effectiveness, it is essential to carefully follow the feeding instructions and constantly monitor your cat's condition.

• The daily ration may vary based on individual factors such as breed, environment, season, and activity level. It is recommended to monitor the animal's body weight and general condition, adjusting the amount of food accordingly.
• To minimize postprandial fluctuations in urinary pH, it is recommended to divide the daily ration into 3 or 4 meals.
• Once the struvite uroliths have dissolved, usually after 1-2 months, it is recommended to monitor the daily ration. It is advisable to switch to a maintenance diet such as Specific® FCD/FCW or FCD-L Crystal Management Light to prevent recurrence.
• In cats with recurrent struvite urolithiasis, the use of a wet diet is particularly beneficial, as it promotes increased water intake, increasing urine volume and reducing mineral concentrations.
