Properties and rationale for composition:
Highly digestible ingredients compensate for reduced intestinal enzymatic activity and ensure optimal nutrient absorption. This makes the diet optimal for patients with gastrointestinal disorders such as acute and chronic diarrhea, vomiting, and/or flatulence.
The high content of fat-soluble minerals and vitamins compensates for the patient's impaired gastrointestinal absorption. The increased electrolyte level compensates for losses caused by diarrhea and vomiting.
It contains -1,3/1,6-glucans from yeast, which can bind to leukocyte receptors, thus modulating the immune system and supporting the immune response. The diet also contains prebiotics such as mannan oligosaccharides (MOS). MOS can bind pathogenic bacteria, thus preventing them from attaching to the intestinal wall. MOS also support local immunity in the intestinal tract.
Psyllium husk is a soluble gelling fiber, known for its beneficial effect on regulating the activity of of the gastrointestinal tract and the protection of the intestinal mucosa.
Contains postbiotic yeast fermentation products and a natural plant antimicrobial blend to support intestinal health and the intestinal microbiota.
