Specific® Fiw Digestive Support is a complete dietetic food for cats, formulated to support gastrointestinal health.
It is Indicated for:
- Acute and chronic gastrointestinal diseases with associated diarrhea, vomiting and/or flatulence
- Malabsorption, maldigestion
- Exocrine pancreatic insufficiency
- Bacterial overgrowth in the small intestine
- Colitis
- Convalescence
The highly digestible ingredients compensate for reduced intestinal enzymatic activity and ensure optimal nutrient absorption. This makes the diet optimal for patients with gastrointestinal conditions such as acute and chronic diarrhea, vomiting and/or flatulence.
The high content of minerals and fat-soluble vitamins compensates for impaired absorption in the patient's gastrointestinal system. The increased level of electrolytes compensates for losses caused by diarrhea and vomiting.
It contains -1,3/1,6-glucans from yeast, which can bind to leukocyte receptors, thus modulating the immune system and supporting the immune response. The diet also contains prebiotics such as mannan-oligosaccharides (MOS). MOS can bind pathogenic bacteria, thus preventing them from attaching to the intestinal wall. MOS also support local immunity in the intestinal tract.
Psyllium husk is a soluble gelling fiber, known for its beneficial effect on regulating the activity of the gastrointestinal tract and protecting the intestinal mucosa.
It contains yeast fermentation products with postbiotic action and a natural plant antimicrobial blend to promote gut health and the intestinal microbiota.
The low fiber content of Specific® Fiw Digestive Support ensures high digestibility and optimal nutrient absorption.
Yucca extract reduces the production of foul-smelling gas and stool odor.
Specific® Fiw Digestive Support contains zeolite, which can absorb toxic components in the gastrointestinal tract.
Specific® Fiw Digestive Support contains fermentable fiber (Fos) to promote the growth of beneficial colon bacteria to support a healthy gastrointestinal tract.
Specific® Fiw Digestive Support is a complete and balanced diet that meets the nutritional requirements of adult and growing cats. The diet is therefore also suitable for kittens.
Specific® Fiw Digestive Support induces a urinary pH below 6.4 to support urinary tract health.
For patients with gastrointestinal problems, it is recommended to divide the daily ration of Specific® Fiw Digestive Support into 3-5 meals a day.
Exocrine pancreatic insufficiency is characterized by a severe reduction in the secretion of pancreatic digestive enzymes. As a result, poorly digested foods remain in the gastrointestinal tract, which can lead to diarrhea, flatulence, and bacterial overgrowth. Specific® Fiw Digestive Support is Easily digestible and therefore ideal for patients with exocrine pancreatic insufficiency. However, additional use of pancreatic enzyme preparations is recommended.

Composition
Pork, fish, rice, egg powder, sunflower oil, minerals (including zeolite), vitamins and trace elements (including chelated trace elements), psyllium, yeast fermentation products (Saccharomyces cerevisiae products, calcium carbonate), fructooligosaccharides, dextrose, xylose, taurine, Auraguard (calcium carbonate, citrus extract, maltodextrin, sodium chloride), yeast (source of 1,3/1,6-glucans and mannan-oligosaccharides), methionine, yucca powder. Contains no added artificial colors or flavors.
Directions for use
Individual daily requirements may vary depending on factors such as breed, environment, season, activity, etc. It is therefore recommended to continue monitoring the animal's condition and body weight, adjusting the amount administered accordingly.
For patients with gastrointestinal problems, it is recommended to divide the daily ration of Specific® Fiw Digestive Support into 3-5 meals per day.
