Ripagel Vet is a hydrogel indicated for the repair and re-epithelialization of the cornea that has been subjected to trauma to the corneal epithelium caused by scratches, foreign bodies, rubbing, and corneal ulcers caused by inflammation/infection.
Indications
Sterile, isotonic hydrogel consisting of a 1.2% combination of long-chain high molecular weight hyaluronic acid and cross-linked hyaluronic acid. Contains cyclodextrin and povidone iodide (PVP-I).
Thanks to the high concentration of hyaluronic acid in general and the presence of the cross-linked hyaluronic acid, it is able to increase the adhesion time to the cornea, thus promoting and accelerating the natural healing process.
It modulates the repair process and at the same time keeps the ocular surface sanitized thanks to the presence of a low but effective concentration of PVP-I in the formulation.
Directions for use
Wash your hands thoroughly.
Remove the bottle from the cardboard box and remove the plastic safety seal on the neck of the bottle.
Unscrew the cap.
With your non-dominant hand, hold and support the animal's head, tilting it slightly backwards. With the other hand, hold the bottle vertically above the eye with the tip pointing downwards.
Instill 1 or 2 drops of hydrogel in the eye to be treated, lightly squeezing the plastic bottle and taking care not to touch the eye with the tip of the bottle.
The suggested dosage is 1 or 2 drops in the eye to be treated, 3 times a day or as advised by your veterinarian depending on the severity of the corneal trauma.
Warnings
Do not use the product if the packaging is damaged or not perfectly closed when first opened.
Do not use the product in case of specific hypersensitivity to one of the components.
Do not ingest the product.
Keep out of reach of children.
Storage
Keep the product away from light and heat sources at temperatures not exceeding 25°C. °C.
Do not use after the expiry date shown on the carton.
Shelf life in intact packaging: 24 months.
Shelf life after opening: 28 days.
