It acts effectively as a treatment and prevention against flea infestations (Ctenocephalides canis, Ctenocephalides felis) and for the treatment of biting lice (Trichodectes canis).

It boasts prolonged acaricidal and repellent efficacy against ticks, protecting for four weeks against Rhipicephalus sanguineus and Ixodes ricinus, and for three weeks against Dermacentor reticulatus.
It helps significantly reduce the risk of canine ehrlichiosis by acting against the Rhipicephalus sanguineus tick vector. This protection appears from 3 days after application and persists for 4 weeks.
It is recommended to remove any ticks already present at the time of treatment, as they may not be eliminated within the first two days, to ensure maximum efficacy.
Each application offers a specific acaricidal and repellent activity against ticks. Repellent (anti-feeding) against sandflies (for two to three weeks), mosquitoes (for two to four weeks), and horseflies (for four weeks).
It also reduces the risk of infection by Leishmania infantum, transmitted by sandflies, for up to 3 weeks, thanks to its effectiveness against the vector.
It contains imidacloprid and permethrin, effective substances but with specific environmental precautions. To protect the environment, it is recommended to avoid contact of treated dogs with surface water for at least 48 hours.
It is extremely poisonous to cats: it should not be used on them and any accidental contact should be avoided. The solvent contained may stain some materials; wait until the application site is completely dry.
Directions for use
To ensure maximum efficacy and safety, Pulsix should be applied only once a day. spot-on and for external use only. It is essential to accurately weigh the animal before treatment to determine the correct dose and avoid underdosing, which could promote the development of resistance.
The minimum recommended dose is 10 mg/kg body weight (bw) of imidacloprid and 50 mg/kg body weight (bw) of permethrin.
- For dogs weighing more than 60 kg, an appropriate combination of different pipettes should be used.
- In case of infestation by biting lice, a veterinary check-up is recommended 30 days after treatment, as Some animals may require additional application.
- Treatment should be continued regularly to protect the dog throughout the sandfly season.
- For flea, tick, mosquito, and horsefly infestations, the need and frequency of subsequent treatments should be based on the advice of a professional, taking into account the local epidemiological situation and the animal's lifestyle.
Application method:
Remove a pipette from the package and open it by turning the cap one full turn (clockwise or counterclockwise); the cap will remain attached. The entire contents of the pipette should be applied to the animal's skin.
- For dogs weighing more than 1.5 kg and up to 10 kg: With the dog standing still, part the hair between the shoulder blades until the skin is visible. Place the tip of the pipette on the skin and squeeze firmly several times to dispense the contents directly onto the skin.
- For dogs weighing more than 10 kg and up to 60 kg: With the dog standing still, apply the entire contents of the pipette evenly to four points on the upper back, from the shoulder to the base of the tail. At each application site, part the hair until the skin is visible. Place the tip of the pipette on the skin and squeeze gently to expel some of the solution. Do not apply too much solution in one spot, as it may run down the dog's flank.
