Directions for use

For optimal collection and reliable results, carefully follow these steps:

Preparation:

• Empty the litter box completely of its usual litter.
• Clean the litter box thoroughly with hot water and detergent to remove any impurities and reduce the risk of contamination.
• Remove the non-sterile disposable tube and pipette provided from the bag.
• Pour the entire contents of the Proficat Litter bag into the clean litter box.
• Replace the litter box in your cat's usual place.

Sample collection:

• As soon as the cat has urinated, proceed immediately to the Sample collection.
• Tilt the litter box to one side to collect the urine in one corner.
• Use the included pipette to collect the liquid, taking care to only touch the urine with the tip to minimize the risk of contamination. Try to collect as much liquid as possible.
• Transfer the collected sample to the provided test tube and close it carefully.
• It is recommended to mark the sample with the collection date and the owner's name for correct identification.

Important Warnings:

• To ensure maximum reliability of the results, deliver the sample to the veterinarian or analysis laboratory as soon as possible after collection.
• If feces are present in the litter box, gently remove it before proceeding with the urine collection to avoid contamination.
• The sample can be stored in the refrigerator for a short time, no longer than 1-2 days.
