K-formulation Kattovit Feline Diet - Kidney/Renal is a low-protein diet for cats with chronic renal failure and to reduce the formation of oxalate stones. Kattovit Feline Diet - Kidney/Renal was specially developed to provide cats with a reduced protein content, using high-quality proteins in an easily digestible composition. High protein levels can have harmful effects on the kidneys. The decisive factor is the protein content in relation to the amount of energy. In contrast to conventional foods, Kattovit Kidney/Renal provides only about half of the energy from protein. The enrichment with potassium citrate has an alkalizing effect on the urine and can therefore prevent the formation of oxalate crystals (oxalate prophylaxis). Phosphorus and sodium levels are reduced.
Composition
Meat and animal by-products (including 25% chicken), cereals, minerals (0.2% potassium citrate), oils and fats, brewer's yeast. Protein sources: 25% chicken, 11% liver, 10% poultry, 6% lamb, 10% rice (cooked).
