Indications
kPROTECT is a product specifically formulated for dogs and cats with chronic kidney disease (CKD). With its highly purified components (Sodium Bicarbonate, Calcium Carbonate and Chitosan), kPROTECT can be useful in the control of metabolic acidosis and hypocalcemia, which are frequently diagnosed in the advanced stages of CKD in dogs and cats.
Calcium Carbonate has demonstrated efficacy in controlling hypocalcemia.
Sodium Bicarbonate is effective in controlling metabolic acidosis.
Chitosan can be useful in the control of metabolic acidosis. help improve azotemia in animals with CKD.
kPROTECT is recommended, combined with a renal diet and mixed with food, in dogs and cats with chronic kidney disease that present with azotemia, metabolic acidosis and/or hypocalcemia.

Directions for use
Administer one tablet per 10 kg body weight twice a day, with the main meals.
