This non-toxic barrier foam effectively acts against bacterial and fungal contamination, offering targeted relief. Particularly suitable for the treatment of complicated dermatitis, furunculosis, folliculitis, abscesses, and superficial ulcers, facilitating the maturation of suppurative lesions and restoring optimal skin conditions.
The power of Ichthyol, thanks to its sulfur content, manifests itself in keratoplastic, antiseptic, antiseborrheic, anti-inflammatory, and decongestant actions. Zinc Oxide, on the other hand, is renowned for its soothing, healing, and anti-inflammatory properties, stimulating the skin's natural healing processes.
The formula is Enriched with selected active ingredients, including Ammonium Sulfoichthyolate, Zinc Oxide, Mallow Extract, Salicylic Acid, Eucalyptus and Lemon Essential Oils, Chlorhexidine, and Rice Starch, for a synergistic and complete action.
Important warnings: Do not use in case of known hypersensitivity to the components. Prolonged use may cause sensitization; in this case, discontinue treatment and consult your veterinarian, especially in case of concomitant use with other products. Keep out of reach of children. Highly flammable aerosol product. Pressurized container: may explode if heated. Keep away from heat, sparks, open flames, and hot surfaces. Do not smoke. Do not spray on open flames or other sources of ignition. Do not pierce or burn, even after use. Protect from sunlight and do not expose to temperatures exceeding 50°C/122°F.
Directions for use
For optimal application of Itioxide, distribute the foam evenly over the animal's entire body, in the ears, or exclusively on the areas to be treated, ensuring deep penetration.
- If the animal is not shaved, gently rub against the grain with an adequate amount of product until the skin and coat are visibly damp.
- It is essential not to rinse or dry the treated area with cloths or absorbent paper.
- Initially, it is recommended to repeat the application twice a day. Subsequently, you can switch to once a day or at shorter intervals. For long periods, always under the supervision of a veterinarian, until symptoms have completely resolved.
- It is recommended to brush the animal before each application to maximize the product's effectiveness.
- For a prophylactic purpose, Itioxide can be used after each bath: apply to damp fur before drying.
