Fypermid Combo is a veterinary medicinal product for cats based on the active ingredient Fipronil + Methoprene, belonging to the category of antiparasitic drugs and specifically other ectoparasiticides for topical use.
Indications
Veterinary medicinal product to be used against infections caused by fleas alone or in combination with ticks and/or biting lice: Treatment of fleas (Ctenocephalides spp.). The insecticidal efficacy against new infections with adult fleas persists for 8 weeks. Prevention of flea multiplication by inhibiting the development of eggs (ovicidal activity), larvae and pupae (larvicidal activity) from eggs laid by adult fleas for six weeks after application. Treatment of ticks (Ixodes ricinus, Dermacentor variabilis, Dermacentor reticulatus, Rhipicephalus sanguineus). The product has persistent acaricidal efficacy for up to 4 weeks against ticks. Treatment of biting lice (Trichodectes canis) infestations.
Fypermid Combo can be prescribed with a SOP prescription - non-prescription medicines but not over the counter.

Directions for use and dosage
Route of administration and dosage: For external use only. Administer by topical application to the skin: one pipette of 0.50 ml (50 mg of fipronil + 60 mg of S-methoprene) per cat. This corresponds to the minimum recommended dose of 6.7 mg/kg of fipronil and 6 mg/kg of S-methoprene, for topical administration to the skin. In the absence of safety studies, the minimum treatment interval is 4 weeks.
Directions for use
- Remove the pipette from the pouch. Hold the pipette upright, twist, and remove the cap.
- Turn the cap upside down and replace it on the other end of the pipette. Press and twist the cap to break the seal, then remove the cap from the pipette.
- Apply to the skin at the base of the neck in front of the shoulder blades.
- Part the animal's coat on the back until the skin is visible. Place the tip of the pipette on the skin and squeeze out as much of the liquid as possible. Twist the pipette to empty its contents completely and directly onto the skin in one spot.
Temporary changes in the hair coat at the application site (clumps/greasiness of the hair) may be observed.
Warnings
Avoid contact with the animal's eyes. It is important to ensure that the product is applied to an area where animals cannot lick it and cannot lick each other after treatment.
