Indications

Sterile ophthalmic solution, wetting and lubricating for dogs and cats containing: carboxypolymethylene glycol, thimerosal, sodium hydroxide, disodium EDTA and distilled water. Under normal conditions, there is a perfect balance between production and elimination of the tear film, whose multiple functions are essential for efficient visual function. The tear film performs a wetting and lubricating function that allows eyelid blinking as well as protecting the corneal epithelia, maintaining normal hydration. The quantity of tear film normally secreted ensures a high optical quality surface for the corneal diopter, allows corneal respiration by promoting the exchange of atmospheric oxygen/carbon dioxide, and removes metabolites, normal cellular debris from desquamation and any foreign bodies. Particular conditions such as high ambient temperatures and air pollution can increase the evaporation rate of the tear film, altering its replacement and causing dry eyes. This condition can be aggravated in some breeds due to the particular anatomical structure of the eyeball. The use of Epigel ensures a wetting and lubricating action that replaces the unavailable tear film.

Carboxypolymethylene; thimerosal; sodium hydroxide; disodium EDTA; distilled water.

Directions for use

Instil one drop in each eye several times a day. If used in combination with eye drops, it is advisable to administer at different times to avoid mutual dilution.

Warnings

Do not touch the tip of the dropper to any surface to avoid contaminating the solution. Close the bottle tightly after use. Keep out of reach of children.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place at room temperature. Use the product within one month of opening the bottle: do not use any remaining product.
