DRN Epato 1500 has a direct protective action on the hepatocyte (not based on a conjugation mechanism), because: - it increases the availability of GLUTATHIONE, both reduced and total, and this increases the detoxifying power of the liver; - it increases the synthesis of RIBOSOMAL RNA, and therefore increases protein synthesis, which promotes liver regeneration, also increasing basal metabolism and stimulating appetite; - has a NORMO-LIPEMIZING action, which affects total lipidemia, triglyceride and cholesterol levels;
- contains flavonoids that inhibit the COX-2 enzyme (Cyclooxygenase 2), which converts arachidonic acid into prostaglandins and, consequently, there is a reduction in all degenerative processes caused by inflammation; - stimulates the formation of the SOD enzyme (Super Oxide Dismutase), which protects the lipids present in the intimate structure of both the cellular and ribosomal membranes, thus preventing the alteration that occurs in the case of hepatic degeneration from oxidative stress;
- contains MOS which, in addition to having a probiotic effect on the intestinal bacterial flora, "bind" pathogenic bacteria and allow their rapid removal (in the form of bacteria + oligomannans) through the feces, protecting intestinal functionality.
