Its innovative formula offers 360-degree defense:
- Against Fleas: It acts quickly, eliminating existing fleas within 24 hours and preventing new infestations for four weeks. It is also a valuable ally in the management of Flea Allergic Dermatitis (FAD), if diagnosed by your veterinarian.
- Against Ticks: It offers four-week protection against the main tick species (Ixodes ricinus, Dermacentor reticulatus, and Rhipicephalus sanguineus). Although not all ticks are killed immediately, they are eliminated within a week, significantly reducing the risk of transmission of diseases such as canine babesiosis for a month.
- Against Sandflies and Mosquitoes: Develops a four-week repellent (anti-bite) action against sandflies (Phlebotomus perniciosus) and mosquitoes (Culex pipiens, Aedes aegypti), protecting your dog from annoying bites and the diseases they can carry.

Directions for use
To ensure maximum effectiveness and safety, applying Effitix requires care and precision. Each pipette is Designed to offer the optimal dose of fipronil and permethrin, essential active ingredients for the protection of your dog.
Dosage and Active Ingredients:
- The minimum recommended dose is 6.7 mg of fipronil per kg of body weight and 60 mg of permethrin per kg of body weight.
- Each ml of product contains 61 mg of fipronil and 545 mg of permethrin.
Directions for Use:
Carefully follow these steps for correct application:
- Hold the pipette upright and shake the narrow end to ensure the contents are in the narrowest part. wide.
- Break the seal at the top of the pipette along the marked line.
- Part the dog's fur until the skin is visible. Apply the tip of the pipette directly to the exposed skin and squeeze gently several times to empty the contents.
- Repeat the operation in one or two separate spots along the dog's back.
Avoid excessively wetting the fur, as this may cause a temporary sticky appearance, which disappears within 24 hours. Small white deposits may be visible for up to 48 hours after application.
Important Contraindications:
- Do not use on puppies under 2 months of age or weighing less than 3 kg.
- Do not apply to sick animals (e.g. with systemic diseases, fever) or those recovering.
- Absolutely do not use on rabbits, as it may cause irritation. May cause serious adverse reactions, including death.
- This product is specifically formulated for dogs. Do not use on cats, as it may be toxic.
- Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the active ingredients or excipients.
Adverse Reactions:
If licked, brief hypersalivation may occur. Rarely, transient skin reactions at the application site (such as discoloration, local alopecia, itching, erythema), generalized itching, and alopecia have been reported. Exceptionally, hypersalivation, reversible neurological symptoms (hyperesthesia, depression, nervous symptoms), vomiting, and respiratory symptoms have been reported. In case of serious or unmentioned adverse reactions, consult your veterinarian.
Special Warnings for the Target Species:
- Shampooing one hour before treatment does not compromise efficacy against fleas.
- Avoid bathing or immersion in water within 2 days of application. Weekly immersion in water for 1 minute may reduce the duration of insecticidal efficacy against fleas by one week.
- The product does not prevent the initial attachment of ticks, but kills them within 24-48 hours of attachment, reducing the risk of disease transmission. Dead ticks will fall off or can be easily removed.
- For optimal flea control, also treat the dog's environment (kennel, carpets) with appropriate insecticides and clean regularly.
- In cases of Flea Allergy Dermatitis, monthly application is recommended to allergic patients and other dogs living in the household.
- For effective control in groups of animals, all dogs and cats in the family/group should be treated with a suitable insecticide.
Special Precautions for Use:
- Weigh the animals accurately before treatment.
- Avoid contact with the animal's eyes; in case of accidental contact, rinse immediately with plenty of water.
- It is important to ensure that the product is applied to an area where the animal cannot lick it and that animals do not lick each other after treatment.
