Directions for use
For optimal treatment, place two strips of Apistan per hive, inserting them between frames 3 and 4 and between frames 7 and 8. This targeted application guarantees the elimination of Varroa Destructor in a period of 6-10 weeks, variable based on environmental conditions and the presence of brood. It is essential not to exceed the recommended doses.
Inserting the strips is simple: just insert them between the frames and open the flaps for firm support.
To prevent the risk of re-infestation, it is recommended to treat all the hives at the same time.
Apistan can also be used to diagnose varroa: in this case, insert a single strip between the central frames for a week, placing a diagnostic frame at the bottom of the hive to collect the fallen mites.
To maximize effectiveness, preferably treat the hives in late winter or early autumn. The strips should not remain in the hive for more than 1 week. 6-10 weeks.
For the safety of bees and the quality of honey, do not use Apistan during the honey production phase.
