Spray Solution for Veterinary Use
Adaptil is a practical spray for dogs based on D.A.P., the equivalent of dog pheromones, and is therefore recommended for preventing and reducing behavioral disorders caused by stress in puppies and adult dogs, making them more sensitive to behavioral therapies and training. For optimal use, it is recommended not to spray directly on the animal or near its face. For the recommended doses, apply 8-10 sprays of ADAPTIL™ Spray at least 15 minutes before bringing the dog into the environment (car, crate, kennel, etc.): 1 spray in each of the 4 corners, 2 sprays on the floor, and 2 sprays on the top of the crate or kennel. The effect lasts approximately 4-5 hours. If transporting the dog on long trips, it is recommended to spray the crate or car again after the indicated time has elapsed (remove the dog from the crate or car and wait approximately 10 minutes before putting him back in, to allow the alcohol to evaporate). Instead, to manage stress-related behaviors in other challenging situations (adoption, placement in a new home or kennel, placement in a family, being left home alone, fireworks, thunderstorms), in combination with ADAPTIL Diffuser or ADAPTIL Collar, this product can be sprayed directly on the dog's bed, carrier, or car at least 15 minutes before the dog is brought into the environment. Repeat the application twice a day.
