Ectoparasiticide for topical use.
Indications
Acarene Spray is used in all cases where an antiparasitic product is needed for small animals.
- Cage and aviary birds: local treatment of feather dust mites, various feather dust mites (caused by down mites, barbule mites, pollinia, etc.), dust mites caused by the red mite (Dermanyssus gallinae, passerinus, etc.) and dermatoses caused by mites such as Cnemidocoptes pilae, C.
columbae, etc. - Pet rabbits: therapy and prophylaxis of parasitic infestations caused by ectoparasites and in the treatment of ear scabies, caused by Psoroptes cunicoli, infestations by Cheylettiella parasitovorax, Sarcoptes scabiei, Demodex cu nicoli and fleas.
Composition
Active ingredients
Piperonyl Butoxide 0.700 g/100 g d-Phenothrin 0.200 g/100 g.
Excipients
Isopropyl myristate, butylhydroxytoluene (BHT), methyl p-hydroxybenzoate, propyl p-hydroxybenzoate, bergamot essence, n-Propane, n-Butano.
Directions for use and Dosage
Shake the can before use, then spray on the subjects to be treated from a distance of 20 cm, avoiding excessive cooling due to the Rapid evaporation of the propellant with consequent risk of respiratory problems, operating with short sprays (about 0.3 g of product) for each bird (weighing 15/20 grams) and 15 ml (3 sprays of 5 seconds) for each rabbit (average weight 1 kg). Avoid spraying the product on the eyes and beak of birds or on the faces of rabbits. Repeat the treatment after 5 days. In cases of feather mites, it is recommended to burn the fallen feathers. Do not exceed the recommended doses. The 150 ml pack of product is intended to treat a maximum of 5 rabbits or 144 sick birds.
Warnings
Avoid the simultaneous use of other pesticides.
Contraindications
The use of the product is contraindicated in sick or convalescent birds. Do not use in animals with known hypersensitivity to the active ingredients or to any of the excipients. However, use of the product on sensitive animals (asthmatics, allergies, etc.) is not recommended. Do not use on animals with extensive skin lesions.
Side effects
Allergic reactions may occur in predisposed subjects. If a skin reaction due to the use of the product occurs, it is recommended to suspend treatment.
Pregnancy and lactation
Reduce use on laying birds in the four weeks preceding the start of the laying period. Use during pregnancy is not recommended in pet rabbits.
