Product Description

Antiparasitic spray for cage and aviary birds, pet rabbits.

Indications

Acarene Spray is an antiparasitic useful for:

• Cage and aviary birds
  Local treatment of feather dust mites, various plumage acariasis (caused by down mites, barbule mites, pollinia, etc.), acariasis caused by the red mite (Dermanyssus gallinae, passerinus, etc.) and dermatoses caused by mites such as Cnemidocoptespilae, C. columbae, etc. of cage and aviary birds.
• Pet rabbits
  Therapy and prophylaxis of parasitic infestations caused by ectoparasites and in the treatment of ear scabies caused by Psoroptes cunicoli, infestations by Cheylettiella parasitovorax, Sarcoptes scabiei, Demodex cunicoli and fleas.

Ingredients

Active ingredients: Piperonyl Butoxide 0.700 g/100 g d-Phenothrin 0.200 g/100 g.
Excipients: Isopropyl myristate, butylhydroxytoluene (BHT), methyl p-hydroxybenzoate, propyl p-hydroxybenzoate, bergamot essence, n-Propane, n-Butane.

Directions for use and Dosage

Shake the can before use, then spray on the subjects to be treated from a distance of 20 cm, avoiding excessive cooling due to the rapid evaporation of the propellant with consequent risk of respiratory problems, operating with short sprays (about 0.3 g of product) for each bird (weight 15/20 grams) and 15 ml (3 sprays of 5 seconds) for each rabbit (average weight 1 kg).
Avoid spraying the product on the eyes and beak of birds or on the face of rabbits.
Repeat the treatment after 5 days.
In cases of feather mites, it is advisable to burn the fallen feathers.
Do not exceed the recommended doses.
The 150 ml pack of product is intended to treat a maximum of 5 rabbits or 144 birds patients.

Warnings

Avoid administering doses higher than those indicated.
Use the product according to the instructions for use.
The use, especially if prolonged, of topical products can give rise to sensitization phenomena; In this case, discontinue treatment and initiate appropriate therapy.
Do not use for prolonged treatments.
Avoid spraying the product on the eyes and beak of birds, on the face of rabbits.
Do not use during incubation or pregnancy and lactation.

Contraindications

Interactions

Reduce use on birds in egg-laying in the four weeks preceding the beginning of the laying period.
