Product Description

Disinfectant of the vaginal mucosa.

Indications

Neoxene Ovules is indicated for the disinfection of the vaginal mucosa.

Ingredients and composition

Each ovule contains: Active ingredient: CHLORHEXIDINE DIGLUCONATE 10 mg.

Excipients: Propyl parahydroxybenzoate, Ethyl parahydroxybenzoate, Glycerin, Gelatin, Propyl parahydroxybenzoate, Ethyl parahydroxybenzoate, Patent Blue (E131), Purified water.

Directions for use and dosage

One, maximum two ovules per day for a maximum duration of ten consecutive days.

Warnings

Do not use for prolonged treatments. After a short period of treatment without noticeable results, consult your doctor. Accidental ingestion or inhalation of some disinfectants can have serious, sometimes fatal, consequences. Use of topical products, especially prolonged use, may cause sensitization; in this case, discontinue treatment and consult your doctor to initiate appropriate therapy. Neoxene is for vaginal use only and should not be ingested. After applying Neoxene, it is recommended to wash your hands. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water. This medicine contains propyl parahydroxybenzoate and ethyl parahydroxybenzoate as excipients; therefore, it may be mildly irritating to the skin, eyes, and mucous membranes. Keep this medicine out of the reach of children.

Interactions

Avoid the simultaneous use of other antiseptics and detergents.

Side effects

In some cases, intolerance (burning or irritation) may occur, but this is inconsequential and does not require treatment modification. Some rare cases of idiosyncrasy have been reported with chlorhexidine.
