Indications
It promotes peristalsis, helping to ensure adequate intestinal evacuation, thus counteracting constipation and preventing the formation of fecal impactions.
It also facilitates the elimination of intestinal gas, reducing the sensation of bloating and abdominal distension.
Macrogol is an inert, water-soluble polymer with a high molecular weight that has the ability to bind to the water used for ingestion, retaining it in the stool.
It causes rehydration and softening of the fecal mass and facilitates evacuation.
It accelerates intestinal transit by promoting peristalsis.
It is not absorbed or metabolized in the gastrointestinal tract and does not lead to fluid or electrolyte imbalances if taken with the indicated dose of liquid.
Simethicone is a substance that has the ability to reduce the surface tension of gas bubbles present in the gastrointestinal tract, facilitating their expulsion.
Agpeg esse comes in powder form for oral solution.

Macrogl, silicon dioxide, simethicone, sucralose.
Gluten-free.
Directions for use and Dosage
Adults and children over 12 years of age (>43 kg): 1 to 4 sachets per day.
The dose should be increased or decreased, depending on the individual response to treatment, to allow regular evacuation of soft stools. The maximum dose required does not normally exceed 4 sachets per day.
Dissolve the powder in water or other liquid (125 ml per sachet) and take immediately.
It is recommended to administer the product in the morning if the minimum dose (1 sachet per day) is required.
For larger doses, divide the intake between morning and evening.
Warnings
Do not take Agpeg esse in case of known hypersensitivity to macrogol or other components, perforation, obstruction or intestinal stenosis, paralytic ileus, severe inflammatory diseases of the intestinal tract such as Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis and toxic megacolon.
The use of laxatives is contraindicated in cases of acute or unknown abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting, rectal bleeding of unknown origin, and in cases of severe dehydration.
Some gastrointestinal disorders may occur (stomach ache, flatulence, abdominal swelling, nausea, and fecal incontinence).
Diarrhea is a secondary effect of taking excessive doses of Agpeg esse and can be avoided by reducing the dose.
Cases of hypersensitivity reactions (skin rash) have been reported rarely following the use of products containing macrogol.
If this occurs, discontinue treatment and consult your doctor.
It is recommended that the product be used in pediatric patients after consulting your doctor.
Administration in children must be carried out under the direct supervision of an adult.
Consult your doctor before use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the package.
Do not use if the package is opened or damaged.
Do not exceed the maximum daily dose.
Keep the product or the resulting solution out of the reach of children.
If no improvement is noted after 7 days of treatment, it is advisable to consult your doctor.
The product may reduce the residence time in the intestine and therefore the absorption of oral medications.
It is therefore advisable to consult your doctor if taking oral medications at the same time, which must in any case be administered at least 2 hours apart.
In case of adverse reactions, even if different from those listed, discontinue treatment and consult your doctor.
