Indications
Afenil GEL is a blend of amino acids, free of phenylalanine, integrated with carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals, trace elements, selenium, taurine and carnitine, for the treatment of hyperphenylalaninemia including phenylketonuria. From 6 months of life and in adults. Neutral flavour.

Directions for use
To obtain a gel:
- Pour the contents of one sachet into a glass. If desired, flavor to taste;
- Add about 30 ml of cold water. Mix well for about 10 seconds;
- To obtain a creamy gel, let it rest for about 2 minutes. The reconstituted gel can be taken as is with a teaspoon or mixed with other permitted foods. For best results, when possible, it should be prepared and consumed immediately. If necessary, the reconstituted product can be stored in the refrigerator for 24 hours and mixed well before use.
To obtain a drink:
- Pour the contents of one sachet into a glass. If desired, flavor to taste;
- Add about 80 ml of cold water. Mix well for about 10 seconds;
- Drink immediately.
Once opened, the powder contained in a sachet should be consumed entirely. Any excess should be refrigerated and used within 24 hours.
Warnings
It must be used under strict medical supervision by people with confirmed phenylketonuria.
The product cannot be used as the sole source of nutrition. The diet must be supplemented with natural proteins, water, and other nutrients in the prescribed quantities to provide phenylalanine, fluids, and other necessary nutrients.
Not to be used intravenously.
Keep out of reach of children under 3 years of age.
