Tea tree essential oil is extracted by steam distillation of the leaves with a yield of 1%, i.e. 1 kg of essential oil per 100 kg of plant.

CHEMICAL FORMULA

The main active components of Melaleuca alternifolia essential oil are monoterperols (48%): terpinen-4-ol, alpha-terpineol, monoterpenes (40%) and sesquiterpenes (10%).

MAIN INDICATIONS

Tea tree essential oil is a powerful anti-infective, antibacterial and antifungal. It also has antiviral properties and fights influenza, dengue, chikungunya and exanthematous diseases. With a broad spectrum of action, it primarily treats all infections of the oral cavity (canker sores, gingivitis), the ENT and bronchial system (sinusitis, tonsillitis, rhinitis, tracheitis, bronchitis), and the digestive tract (enteritis and enterocolitis). It is also successfully used for all skin infections, parasites, and fungi (acne, cuts, herpes, psoriasis, localized herpes, warts, pityriasis, skin mycoses, genitals, skin folds, and athlete's foot, etc.). It also has decongestant and tonic properties.
