Characteristics

Swiss Pine grows in the Alps, its natural habitat being concentrated in Austria and South Tyrol. Its wood is used to make furniture, beds, and cribs; and traditionally as paneling in bedrooms and Stubi (rooms for relaxing after work). The reasons? Swiss Pine wood has moth-repellent properties and keeps mold at bay; but above all, it has a positive effect on the human psyche (calm and concentration).

The essential oil is rich in Alpha-Betapinene; its scent is aromatic, resinous, and balsamic. It demonstrates an excellent relaxing effect (particularly useful in hypertensive, agitated subjects, prone to tachycardia, anxiety, and panic); balsamic (upper airways, chronic sinusitis); purifying the environment (closed, crowded places); mothproof for drawers.
