Indications
Mechanical medical device based on sodium alginate, sodium bicarbonate, sodium carbonate, calcium carbonate, and sodium hyaluronate, formulated to perform 3 synergistic actions: block acid reflux, reduce heartburn, and protect the esophageal mucosa. Zymerex Gastro Activ is a medical device formulated to block acid reflux, reduce heartburn, and protect the esophageal mucosa. Indicated for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) to reduce related symptoms, such as heartburn, heartburn during pregnancy, reflux esophagitis, acid regurgitation, indigestion, nighttime reflux symptoms, cough, and laryngopharyngeal inflammation.
Composition
Purified water, sodium alginate, sodium bicarbonate, sodium carbonate, calcium carbonate, flavoring, polyacrylic acid, sodium hyaluronate, sodium methyl-p-hydroxybenzoate, sodium saccharin, ethylparaben.
Directions for use Directions for Use and Dosage
- Adults and children over 12 years: 1 or 2 sachets after main meals and at bedtime.
- Shake before use.
- Children under 12 years: should be administered only on medical advice.
- Carefully follow your doctor's instructions for how to take the product.
Interactions
The product may interfere with the absorption of oral medications. It is therefore advisable to consult your doctor if you are taking oral medicines at the same time, which must in any case be administered at least 2 hours apart.
Warnings
Do not use the product after the expiry date indicated on the package and sachets. In case of adverse reactions, stop treatment and consult your doctor. If no improvement is noted after 7 days of treatment, it is advisable to consult your doctor. Following the instructions for use reduces the likelihood of this occurring. This product contains approximately 100 mg (4.4 mmol) of sodium and approximately 36 mg (0.9 mmol) of calcium per sachet (10 ml). Consult your doctor if you are on a low-salt diet, such as if you have hypertension, heart, liver, or kidney problems, hypercalcemia, nephrocalcinosis, or recurrent calcium-containing kidney stones.
Contraindications
Do not use in cases of severe renal insufficiency. Do not use in cases of hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.
Side effects
The product may cause allergic reactions. cause a feeling of bloating.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Indicated for heartburn during pregnancy.
Storage
Keep out of the reach and sight of children. Store at a temperature between 8°C and 25°C, away from light and heat sources. Do not refrigerate.
Shelf life for unopened packaging: 24 months.
