Product Description

Multi-dose lubricating eye drops to relieve the symptoms of mild to severe dry eye. Contains a highly purified specific fraction of hyaluronic acid sodium salt produced by bacterial fermentation and is therefore free of animal proteins. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally biocompatible polysaccharide with viscoelastic and hygroscopic properties. In the eye, hyaluronic acid is found in the vitreous body, the lacrimal gland, the corneal epithelium, the conjunctiva, and human tear fluid. Hyaluronic acid has mucoadhesive properties and the ability to trap water; it is also known to influence the distribution of water in the corneal stroma. This, together with the protective properties of hyaluronic acid, leads to an increase in the precorneal resistance time and the tear film breakup time, thus ensuring more effective lubrication. Long-lasting corneal surface protection. Hyaluronic acid is currently used in contact lens products to increase the wettability and comfort of contact lenses. Xailin HA contains a disappearing preservative that converts to water and oxygen upon contact with the eye, minimizing the irritation that can be caused by traditional preservatives while still providing the convenience of a multi-dose formulation. It provides immediate relief. It is used to lubricate and protect the eye in certain conditions, providing relief from dry eye conditions such as pain, irritation, or foreign body sensation. Dry eye symptoms occur as a result of ocular surface disorders caused by a variety of reasons, in which tears are altered in quality or quantity, thus failing to keep the eye sufficiently hydrated.

How to use
The usual dosage is one drop to be applied 2 to 4 times a day as needed or as directed by your eye doctor. The dosage is the same for children. Before opening a new bottle of eye drops, check that the safety ring on the bottle cap is intact.
1. Turn the cap counterclockwise to break the seal.
2. Wash and dry your hands thoroughly before use.
3. Remove the cap.
4. Tilt your head back and look up.
5. Gently pull down the lower eyelid to create a small pocket between the eyelid and the eye.
6. Hold the bottle between your thumb and middle finger and use your index finger to apply gentle pressure to the base of the bottle to release one drop of eye drops into the conjunctival fornix.
7. Blink a couple of times.
8. If the eye was not centered, instill another drop.
9. Gently wipe away any excess eye drops from around the eyelid with gauze.
10. Replace the cap on the container, trying not to touch the applicator tip.
11. Allow at least 30 minutes to pass between administration of other ophthalmic medications.
If the symptom persists, consult your eye doctor.

Precautions and warnings
Do not use if the safety ring on the bottle cap is broken. Do not use if you are allergic to the product. Do not touch the tip of the bottle with your eye or any other surface. Do not share Xailin HA with other people. It may cause slight blurring of vision after application; wait until your vision is clear before driving or using machinery. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the package or printed on the bottle. Keep out of the reach and sight of children. For external ophthalmic use only. Do not swallow. Consult your doctor or pharmacist before using the product if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Storage
Store between 1°C and 25°C. Discard the contents 28 days after first opening.
