Characteristics

Xailin Gel is a lubricating gel for ophthalmic use, containing 0.2% carbomer 980. This viscous, hypotonic solution has excellent mucoadhesive properties, which allow it to lubricate the eye by uniformly coating the corneal and conjunctival surfaces.

Xailin Gel is indicated to relieve the symptoms of:

• Dry eye;
• Discomfort;
• Foreign body sensation;
• Mild irritation.

These symptoms may be caused by dry eye, and the use of Xailin Gel helps provide relief and comfort.

Composition

Carbomer 980 2.0 mg, cetrimide 0.1 mg, sorbitol 40.0 mg, sodium hydroxide 0.84 mg, water for injections q.s.

Directions for use

• Wash your hands thoroughly before use.
• Remove the cap by lifting the tab of the tamper-evident seal.
• Tilt your head back and pull the lower eyelid slightly to form a pocket.
• Hold the tube vertically and squeeze gently until a drop forms at the end of the tube.
• Instill the drop without touching the eye with the end of the tube.
• Blink two or three times to distribute the gel evenly over the eye and remove any excess from the eyelids.
• Close the tube, taking care not to touch the tip of the tube with any surface (including your fingers).
• Instill one drop of product in one or both eyes 3-4 times a day or as needed, depending on the discomfort experienced.
• The duration of treatment may vary. may be extended beyond 30 days after consulting a doctor.

Storage

Store below 30°C.
Shelf life after opening: 1 month.
