Immobilization brace for wrist and thumb.
Indications
The Wrist-Thumb immobilization brace by Epitact is indicated in cases of trauma and sprains of the wrist and/or thumb, joint or ligament injuries, scaphoid injuries, De Quervain's tendinitis, and acute rhizarthrosis.
Specificity: The brace opens completely to facilitate positioning and extraction of the hand, especially in cases of edema. Equipped with reinforcements (dorsal, palmar, and lateral) to offer the hand and wrist an optimal position. The two straps with Velcro closure and the removable strap ensure adequate fastening and rigorous support. Thanks to the closure around the thumb and the two lateral reinforcements, the trapeziometacarpal joint is immobilized in an anatomical and pain-relieving position.
Ergonomics: At the level of the palm, the aluminum splint [palmar reinforcement] is moldable and a removable spherical pad allows the hand to be placed in a resting position. Very light and perfectly adapted to different morphologies, the EPITACT immobilization brace offers optimal comfort to the point that it almost feels like you are not wearing it.
Composition
60% fabric (polyamide, elastane, polyester), 39% metal (aluminum, steel), 1% polyethylene.

Contraindications
Trauma requiring orthopedic treatment with plaster, resin, or surgery. The brace should not be placed directly in contact with a skin lesion.
Maintenance
Hand wash at 30°C with a mild soap, without detergents or bleach. Rinse well. Dry by pressing. Do not dry near direct heat sources (radiators, sunlight). Do not use stain removers.
