The Verify® Ovulation Self Test is a rapid urine test that detects the surge in the LH hormone to identify your most fertile days and increase your chances of conceiving.
What is the Ovulation Test?
It is a urine test that detects the surge in the LH (luteinizing) hormone, which peaks 24–36 hours before ovulation.
The test therefore indicates the best time to try for pregnancy.
Types of Self Tests
| Type | Features | Advantages |
| Test strips | To be immersed in urine | Cheap |
| Stick with handle | Direct urine | More hygienic |
| Digital tests | Display showing a symbol (e.g. smiley ) | Easy reading, fewer errors |
| Fertility monitor | Record more Data (LH + estrogen) | Highly accurate, but expensive |
Advantages
The test contains anti-LH particles and anti-LH coated to the membrane.
How the Test Works
| Lines on the Test | Interpretation |
| 2 lines: test = control or more Intense | LH surge detected & ovulation imminent |
| 2 lines: test lighter than control | Low LH & not yet ovulating |
| 1 single or incorrect line | Test invalid & repeat |
When to Start Testing
It depends on the length of your menstrual cycle. Example:
| Cycle Length | Start Test |
| 26 days | Day 10 |
| 28 days | Day 11 |
| 30 days | Day 13 |
Day 1 is The first day of your period (menstruation).
Sample Collection and Preparation
Determine the optimal time for urine collection. For best results, collect urine at approximately the same time each day. Some women have found that their best sample is after 12:00 p.m. Do not collect the first urine sample after waking up.
Reduce fluid intake about 2 hours before urine collection.
Record the date, day of your period, and the time of urine collection. See the
Test Results Table at the end of this package insert.
Use a new specimen collection container for each specimen.
Instructions
When to Start Testing
Calculate when to start testing using the table below.
1) First, determine the Length of Your Menstrual Cycle. The length of your menstrual cycle is the number of days from the first day of your period (menstrual bleeding) to the last day before the start of your next period.
2) Next, determine the Days to Count Forward after your period to start testing. Find the length of your menstrual cycle on the first line of the chart below and read the corresponding number in the second line. This is the number of days after your period to start testing.
3) If your menstrual cycle is longer than 1 day, you can start testing by reading the corresponding number in the second line. If your cycle is shorter than 21 days or longer than 38 days, consult a doctor. If you don't know your cycle length, you can start testing 11 days after the first day of your period, as the average cycle length is 28 days.
4) See the Sample Chart and Schedule below to determine the day you should start testing. First-morning urine should not be used during the LH test. For best results, you should test at the same time every day. You should reduce your fluid intake about 2 hours before testing. Perform one test per day for a period of time or until you detect your LH peak.
When to Start Testing
Example: Your usual cycle length is 28 days. Your last period started on the 3rd. The 'When to Start Testing Chart' shows what counts are likely to be the most likely. I count forward 11 days from the 3rd. When I count forward 11 days on the calendar, I find that I will collect and test my urine starting on the 13th.

Instructions for Use
Determine the day you will start testing using the "When to Start Testing Chart."
1. Allow the test, urine sample, and/or controls to reach room temperature (15-30°C) before testing.
2. Bring the pouch to room temperature before opening. Remove the test cassette from the sealed pouch and use it within one hour.
3. Place the test cassette on a clean, flat surface. Hold the dropper upright and transfer 3 drops of urine into the specimen well(s) of the test cassette, then start the timer. Avoid trapping air bubbles in the specimen well. See the illustration below.
4. Wait for the colored line(s) to appear. Read the result in 5 minutes. Do not interpret results after 10 minutes.
Reading Results
(Refer to illustrations)
Positive: Two lines are visible, and the line in the test region (T) is equal to or darker than the line in the control region (C). This indicates probable ovulation in 24-36 hours.
Negative: Two lines are visible, but the line in the test region (T) is lighter than the line in the control region (C), or there is no line in the test region (T). This indicates that no LH surge was detected.
Invalid: No control line appears. Insufficient sample volume or improper procedural techniques are the most likely causes of a missing control line. Review the procedure and repeat the test with a new test. If the problem persists, immediately discontinue use of the test kit and contact your local distributor.
Test results should not be affected by pain relievers, antibiotics, and other common medications. Medications containing hcg or Lh may affect the test and should not be taken while using the Lh Ovulation Rapid Test Cassette (Urine).
Limitations and Recommendations
Precautions
Read all the information in this leaflet carefully before performing the test.
Quality Control?
A procedural control is included in the test. The colored line appearing in the control region (C) is considered an internal procedural control, confirming sufficient specimen volume, adequate capillary penetration, and the ability to detect any potential smear. in the membrane and proper procedural technique.
Limitations
For self-testing for in vitro diagnostic use.Do not reuse tests.Keep out of reach of children.Store in a dry place at 2-30°C or 36-86°F. Do not freeze.
Store in the original package at room temperature or in the refrigerator (2-30°C). The test is stable until the expiration date printed on the sealed pouch. The test must remain in the sealed pouch until use. Do not freeze. Do not use after the expiration date. Avoid exposure to direct sunlight, moisture, or heat.
