Trosyd® Spray is an antifungal drug.

Indications

Trosyd® Spray is indicated for the treatment of dermatomycoses caused by dermatophytes, yeasts, and other fungi. Thanks to Tioconazole, an active ingredient with fungicidal and antibacterial action present in the product at a 1% concentration, the anti-fungal spray is active against both yeasts and dermatophytes (or other fungi), as well as Gram-positive bacteria. In addition to the drug's ability to eliminate fungi and bacteria, it also reduces the risk of recurrence.

Trosyd® 1% Skin Spray is indicated for the treatment of hairy areas and skin folds. Trosyd® Spray is a spray for skin fungi also suitable for large areas of the body (back, abdomen, chest) and, like the antifungal powder, if sprayed inside socks and shoes it is also active for the treatment of tinea pedis.

How to use

Trosyd® Spray should be dispensed in a thin layer by lightly massaging the infected skin and the immediate surrounding area. It is recommended to apply it twice a day, morning and evening.

The duration of treatment with Tioconazole necessary to achieve healing varies from patient to patient and is assessed in relation to the infectious agent and the site of infection. A 7-day treatment is usually sufficient to achieve healing in most patients with pityriasis versicolor (a fungal infection manifesting as café-au-lait spots, usually located on the trunk), while up to 6 weeks of treatment may be necessary for severe forms of tinea pedis, especially the hyperkeratotic clinical variety. The duration of treatment required for dermatophyte infections and other localized candidiasis and erythema is usually between 2 and 4 weeks.
