Indications

Ticalma 100 mg is a non-prescription drug based on Valerian Dry Extract indicated as a mild sedative, also for promoting night-time rest.

Ingredients

Composition per 1 coated tablet:
Active ingredient: Valerian hydroalcoholic dry extract 100 mg
Excipients: Starch 39 mg, Lactose 127 mg, PVP 22.5 mg, Talc 72 mg, Cellulose acetophthalate 7 mg, Diethyl phthalate 1.6 mg, Sucrose 198.8 mg, Gum arabic 16 mg, Titanium dioxide 16 mg and Spermaceti 0.1 mg.

Directions for use and Dosage

It is recommended to take 1-2 coated tablets, three times a day.
Do not exceed the recommended doses.

Known individual hypersensitivity to the product.

Interactions

Interactions with other medications are not documented in the literature.
However, valerian extracts may likely enhance the depressant effects on the central nervous system induced by other substances, such as barbiturates and chlorpromazine; it follows that the concomitant use with psychotropic drugs, barbiturates or major sedatives must be considered critically.

Overdose

From the literature, which mostly considers experimental evaluations on animals, it is not possible to deduce the clinical toxicological picture of overdose, however it is likely that depressive effects on the central nervous system can be admitted.
