Product Description

Non-steroidal disinfectant and anti-inflammatory drug with analgesic properties.

Indications

Tantum Verde Collutorio is useful in the symptomatic treatment of irritative-inflammatory conditions also associated with pain in the oropharyngeal cavity (e.g. gingivitis, stomatitis, pharyngitis), also as a result of conservative or extractive dental therapy.

Dosage and method of use

Tantum Verde Collutorio should be taken in the following doses and ways: pour 15 ml of product into the measuring cup, to be used 2-3 times a day, in pure or diluted form (in this case, add 15 ml of water to the measuring cup). Do not exceed the recommended doses.

Composition

Active ingredient: benzydamine hydrochloride 0.15 g (equivalent to 0.134 g of benzydamine).
Excipients: methyl parahydroxybenzoate.

Contraindications

Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to benzydamine or to any of the excipients.

Special warnings

The use of Tantum Verde Mouthwash, especially if prolonged, may give rise to sensitization phenomena. In this case, discontinue treatment and consult your doctor to establish appropriate therapy. In a limited number of patients, oropharyngeal ulcers may be a sign of more serious pathologies. Therefore, if the symptoms persist for more than a few days, consult your doctor immediately. After three days, the patient should consult their doctor or dentist as needed.
The use of benzydamine is not recommended in patients with hypersensitivity to acetylsalicylic acid or other NSAIDs. Tantum Verde mouthwash should be administered with caution to subjects who have had episodes of bronchial asthma in the past, as bronchospasm phenomena may occur in these types of patients.
Tantum Verde mouthwash contains parahydroxybenzoates which can cause allergic reactions (even delayed).
For those who participate in sports: the use of medicines containing ethyl alcohol may cause positive anti-doping tests in relation to the blood alcohol concentration limits indicated by some sports federations.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

There are no data relating to the use of benzydamine during pregnancy or breastfeeding. The excretion of the product in breast milk has not been studied. Animal studies on the effects during pregnancy and lactation are insufficient and therefore the potential risk for humans cannot be assessed. Tantum Verde should not be used during pregnancy and lactation.

Expiry and storage

Check the expiry date indicated on the packaging. The expiry date indicated on the packaging refers to the product in its intact packaging, stored correctly. The expiry date refers to the last day of the month.
Caution: do not use the medicine after the expiry date indicated on the packaging.
