Features
Medical device. Dressing for the treatment of acute wounds (burns, traumatic injuries, dermabrasions, post-surgical wounds) and chronic wounds (lower limb ulcers, pressure ulcers, and diabetic ulcers), in the granulation and epithelialization phase, Epidermosis Bullosa, Cavity lesions, and lesions located in difficult-to-dress positions.
Made of a polyester weave impregnated with hydrocolloid particles dispersed in a vaseline matrix, the dressing creates a moist environment, conducive to healing.
Thanks to its fatty but non-greasy chemical composition, it does not adhere to the wound or its edges. Removal of the dressing is painless and atraumatic. Specific properties result:
- creation and maintenance of a moist environment favorable to healing;
- gelation on contact with the wound;
- atraumatic removal for newly formed tissue;
- painless dressing replacement for the patient.
Directions for use
Clean the wound with saline solution; if using an antiseptic, wash the wound with saline solution before applying the product; remove the transparent protective film; apply to the wound in a single layer; can be cut with a sterilized instrument to adapt it to the size of the wound.
Cover Urgotul with a secondary dressing capable of absorbing the level of exudate of the wound; secure the secondary dressing with a conformable bandage, an adhesive plaster or a flexible tubular mesh; It can be left in place for 2 to 4 days, depending on the state of the lesion.
In patients with Epidermosis Bullosa, the dressing should be changed every 1-3 days.

Warnings
Adheres to latex surgical gloves. It is therefore recommended to moisten the gloves with a saline solution to facilitate application. If there are clinical signs of local infection and according to the doctor's opinion, the lesion can be removed. be treated with an antibacterial dressing.
In the case of deep wounds and wounds with fistulas, it is advisable to leave a part of the dressing visible to facilitate its removal. Do not sterilize the dressing.
Storage
Store the dressings horizontally, away from humidity and direct heat sources, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C.
