Therapeutic indications

Mucolytic, fluidifying in acute and chronic respiratory conditions.

Contraindications

Known individual hypersensitivity to the product. Limited to the pharmaceutical form of sachets, due to the presence of the sweetener aspartame, the product is contraindicated in patients with phenylketonuria.

Dosage

Injectable solution (Adult Vials): 1-2 vials per day intramuscularly. Adult suppositories: 1-2 per day. Children's suppositories: 1-2 per day. Infant suppositories: 1-2 per day. Solution for nebulization (Aerosol): 1 vial of aerosol solution for each inhalation or aerosolizing tubal catheterization for 1 or 2 applications per day. Syrup: Adults: 1-2 tablespoons 2 times a day, Children up to 2 years: 1 teaspoon 2 times a day, Children over 2 years: 2 teaspoons 2 times a day. Granules for oral solution (300 mg sachets): 2 sachets per day. Dissolve the contents of one sachet in half a glass of water.

Interactions

There are no known interactions of Sobrerol with other drugs.

Side effects

Gastric disturbances and nausea may occur.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Although teratological studies conducted with Sopulmin on animals have not shown any teratogenic effects, its administration during the first three months of pregnancy should be carried out only if strictly necessary and under the direct supervision of a doctor. There are no known contraindications to breastfeeding.
