Cleansing solution for the biliary and urinary tracts.

Indications

Schoum Forte oral solution is useful for spastic and painful conditions of the biliary and urinary tracts.
It is a medicine formulated with:

• Fumaria: hepatoprotective action used as a cleansing plant for the liver and skin
  Its spasmolytic action on the smooth muscles of the digestive tract also allows for the elimination of spasms of the bile ducts, regulation of bile flow, reduction of intestinal meteorism, bad breath and the feeling of post-prandial heaviness.
  It is indicated for eating disorders, the prevention of gallstones, gallbladder spasms and as a skin cleanser for chronic eczema, acne, psoriasis, etc.
• Ononide: diuretic, disinfectant and spasmolytic properties on the smooth muscles of the urinary tract.
  Recommended for inflammatory disorders of the urinary tract accompanied by spasms, and in particular for the prevention and treatment of gravel.
  It promotes the elimination of chlorides and nitrogenous substances without side effects and does not interact with drugs.
• Piscidia: the isoflavonoids in swimming pools are attributed with hypotensive, antispasmodic and muscle relaxant actions, especially at the genitourinary level.

Composition

Active ingredients: 100 g of solution contain 0.0229 g of Fumaria hydroalcoholic extract (protopine content not less than 0.02%), 0.0264 g of Ononide hydroalcoholic extract (protopine content not less than 0.02%), formononetin not less than 0.005%), 0.0035 g of Piscidia hydroalcoholic extract (jamaicin content not less than 0.005%) and 23.540 g of Glycerol.
Excipients: Mixture of p-hydroxybenzoic acid esters, ethyl alcohol, fructose, isoamyl acetate, soluble mint essence, E 104, sodium dehydroacetate, purified water.

Directions for use and Dosage

Adults: 2 tablespoons, 4–6 times a day.
Children: 1 tablespoon, 1–2 times a day.
The dose should be diluted with the same amount of water and taken preferably between meals.

Warnings

The presence of a flocculent precipitate does not indicate alteration of the product.
Schoum Solution and Schoum Forte Solution contain ethyl alcohol in quantities greater than 100 mg per dose.
Particular caution should be observed in children, in patients suffering from alcoholism, mild and moderate liver disease, epilepsy.
For those who play sports, the use of medicines containing ethyl alcohol may determine positive results in anti-doping tests in relation to the blood alcohol concentration limits indicated by some sports federations.
Due to the presence of fructose as an excipient, patients suffering from rare hereditary problems of fructose intolerance should not take Solution Schoum and Solution Schoum Forte.
Due to the presence of p-hydroxybenzoic acid esters, allergic reactions may occur, even delayed.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.
Due to the presence of ethyl alcohol, Solution Schoum and Solution Schoum Forte are contraindicated in case of pregnancy and breastfeeding and in case of severe liver failure.

Interactions

Due to the presence of ethyl alcohol, the simultaneous intake of alcoholic beverages is not recommended.

Overdose

There are no known syndromes from Overdose.
In case of accidental ingestion of large doses of the drug, institute appropriate symptomatic measures.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Schoum Solution and Schoum Forte Solution contain ethyl alcohol in quantities exceeding 100 mg per dose; their administration is therefore contraindicated in case of pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Storage

This medicine does not require any special storage conditions.
