Ortopad is a self-adhesive occluder used in orthoptic treatments for amblyopia and strabismus.
Features
Support made of 100% colored non-woven cotton fabric that allows skin transpiration, prevents the problem of sweating, offering maximum comfort, and with swelling polymers that generate a pleasant 3D effect.
The central pad is made of a very thin trilaminate material inside which there is a black light-absorbing screen that prevents the filtering of external light.
Hot-melt glue with adhesive properties activated by pressure. High adhesion. Hypoallergenic. Solvent-free. Latex-free.
The shape of the patch is elongated in the area where it adheres to the bridge of the nose and allows the correct wear of glasses while wearing the occluder. The glasses are well aligned, without blurring or discomfort for the patient. The elongated shape of the patch prevents lateral light filtration. This important feature of Ortopad prevents abnormal movement of the ocular muscles, which can worsen the condition. The incisions in the area where they attach to the nasal septum effectively prevent the formation of wrinkles on the patch, which could lead to premature detachment of the occluder and a reduction in comfort during orthoptic therapy.
