Indications

Sinuclean is a non-sterile solution indicated for nasal and sinus diseases and their complications (acute rhinosinusitis, chronic purulent rhinosinusitis, nasal and sinus polyposis, allergic rhinitis, fungal rhinitis, secretory otitis media) characterized by: edema of the nasal and sinus mucosa, alteration of the pneumatization of the paranasal sinuses, reduction or loss of nasal and sinus mobility. ciliary, accumulation of mucopurulent secretions in the nasosinusal district and in the auditory tubes.
Mechanism of action: the solution containing cucurbitacins B-D-I-E, administered in micro drops into the nostrils via nasal spray, produces an action on the surface of the mucosal epithelium that causes an electrolytic and osmotic alteration, which is followed by a physiological process of expulsion of mucopurulent secretions present in the nasosinusal district and in the auditory tubes, the restoration of mobility and motility ciliary mucosa, reduction of edema of the nasosinus mucosa, restoration of pneumatization of the paranasal sinuses, and reduction of the size of nasosinus polyps.

Ingredients

Functional substances: cucurbitacins B-D-I-E 50 mcg/ml extracted from Ecballium elaterium.
Excipients: purified water, mint flavoring, methyl parahydroxybenzoate, propyl parahydroxybenzoate.

Directions for use and dosage

Adults and children (age >10 years): Apply 2 sprays per nostril, twice a day (morning and evening), for 7 consecutive days. The treatment can be continued for 7 days. The duration of treatment can be extended up to 14 days or repeated 6-7 days after the first (depending on the symptoms and mucopurulent secretions present).

For use in chronic sinus and nasal disorders or after surgery, it is recommended to repeat the treatment for at least 2 cycles, separated by 6 days of non-treatment.

Warnings

All the procedures described must be performed delicately, avoiding inserting the spray dispenser too deeply into the nostrils and maintaining an upright position during administration. Close the bottle after each application. The product should not be administered to children under 10 years of age or pregnant women. The use of SinuClean nasal spray 50 mcg/ml in combination with sympathomimetic drugs is not recommended, as it may reduce the product's effectiveness. Contraindicated in cases of hypersensitivity to any of the components of SinuClean Nasal Spray 50 mcg/ml. Tests have not revealed any particular side effects; mild signs of irritation and congestion of the nasal mucosa, with a temporary feeling of stuffiness, may rarely occur. Other rare side effects may include rhinorrhea and mild irritation of the mouth. Frequent and prolonged overdose of the product does not pose a risk to the user's health, although it does increase the likelihood of the side effects described above. Rarely, an overdose can cause a low-grade fever (only lasting 3-4 hours). However, it is advisable to report any side effects to your doctor or pharmacist.

Storage
