Salonpas 2.1g + 3.84g + 3.6g Spray Cutaneous Solution
100 ml contain: Active ingredients: Methyl salicylate 1.75 g Menthol 3.20 g Camphor 3.00 g
Benzyl nicotinate, glycol salicylate, squalane, liquefied petroleum gas.
Adjuvant treatment of painful conditions of the osteoarticular and muscular systems of rheumatic and traumatic origin; Stiff neck, intercostal pain, muscle strains, bruises, and sprains.
Known individual hypersensitivity to one or more components of the product. Do not use in pediatric patients.
Spray a sufficient amount on the area to be treated up to 3–4 times a day, depending on local conditions.
Shake well before use.
Hold and spray about 10 cm away from the application area. Do not spray for more than 2–5 seconds on the same area.
Do not spray near eyes, on mucous membranes, or on irritated or injured skin.
If there are no noticeable results after a short period of treatment, consult your doctor. This product contains terpene derivatives, which, in excessive doses, can cause neurological disorders such as convulsions in infants and children. Treatment should not be prolonged for more than 3 days due to the risks associated with the accumulation of terpene derivatives, such as camphor, cineole, niaouli, wild thyme, terpineol, terpin, citral, menthol, and essential oils of pine needle, eucalyptus, and turpentine (due to their lipophilic properties, the rate of metabolism and elimination is unknown) in tissues and the brain, particularly neuropsychological disorders. A dose higher than the recommended one should not be used to avoid a greater risk of adverse drug reactions and disorders associated with overdose (see section 4.9). The product is flammable; it should not be brought close to flames. Topical products, especially with repeated or prolonged application, may cause irritation and sensitization. In this case, it is necessary to discontinue treatment and initiate appropriate therapy after consulting your doctor. Keep out of reach of children. Flammable. Pressurized container. Do not spray on a naked flame or any incandescent material. Do not pierce or burn, even after use. Do not exceed the recommended dose.
Salonpas should not be used concomitantly with other products (medicinal or cosmetic) containing terpene derivatives, regardless of the route of administration (oral, rectal, cutaneous, nasal, or inhalation).
Due to the presence of menthol and camphor, failure to comply with the recommended doses may result in a risk of convulsions in children and infants. Irritation, allergic skin rashes, and contact dermatitis are possible. These effects are generally temporary. If they occur, it is advisable to inform your doctor or pharmacist of any side effects not described in the package leaflet.
The product should be administered only when strictly necessary, under the direct supervision of a doctor. Pregnancy: There are no or limited amount of data from the use of menthol and camphor in pregnant women. Salonpas is not recommended during pregnancy and in women of childbearing potential not using contraception. Breastfeeding: There is insufficient information on the excretion of menthol and camphor in human milk. Salonpas should not be used during breastfeeding.
