Rhynogen Isotonic Nasal Solution is a nasal irrigation device indicated for the daily hygiene of the nasal mucosa and to prevent obstructions and breathing difficulties caused by various conditions.

Indications

A nasal irrigation device with various sterile solutions, the Isotonic solution is indicated for the daily hygiene of the nasal mucosa, to prevent obstructions due to stagnant phlegm secretions, breathing difficulties caused by colds, coughs, sinusitis, post-operative conditions, ear infections, asthma, bronchitis, nasal polyps, allergens, or environmental contamination such as dust, smoke, fumes, viruses, and bacteria.

How to use Instructions for Use

For adults and children (over eight years old), one to two irrigations per day are recommended, or as otherwise specifically indicated by your doctor. When the nasal mucosa is irritated, you may feel a slight burning sensation during the first rinse.

• Carefully remove the first protective pouch from the bag.
• Warm the bag with the solution to approximately 37°C by immersing it in hot water.
• Attach the suction cup to a smooth surface above the sink.
• Open the package containing the device.
• Lower the roller wheel until the tube is completely closed.
• Remove the protective cap and firmly screw on the male connector of the device. Hold the bag connector between your fingers with one hand and with the other, break the fracture cone (inside the tubing) to activate the bag-device connection.
• Hang the bag on the suction cup, securing it appropriately.
• Tilt your head forward over the sink, lower than your shoulders.
• Bring the irrigation nozzle to your nose and gently press on your nostril. Breathe through your mouth throughout the treatment.
• Raise the roller wheel about halfway and adjust it so that the solution flows gently without going into your throat.

Warnings

• If you experience symptoms such as earache or a feeling of stuffiness during irrigation, discontinue treatment.
• Do not tilt your head to the side during treatment.
• If small amounts of solution flow into the throat, causing coughing, discontinue treatment, spit out or swallow. The solution is not toxic in small doses.
• In children, due to the difficulty in keeping their mouth open, it is recommended to keep their head forward and lower than their shoulders.

Contraindications

• Do not use if you are currently experiencing or have recently had epistaxis (nosebleeds).
• Do not use if you are specific hypersensitivity to any of the components.

Side effects

• When the nasal mucosa is irritated, the first time you wash it, it may become irritated. You may feel a slight burning sensation.
• If during irrigation treatment you experience symptoms such as: ear discomfort or a feeling of blockage, discontinue treatment.
• If small amounts of solution flow into the throat causing a cough, discontinue treatment.

Storage

Store between 5°C and 35°C away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
